惠安原属晋江县,宋初太平兴国六年即公元981年才置县。惠安境域自原始社会起就有人类活动。50年代到80年代先后发现了三处新石器时代遗址和商周时代文化遗址,采集到石刀、石钵等石具。 惠安最早的石雕作品,是1600多年前晋朝时代的晋安郡王、开闽始祖林禄墓前石雕,位于涂岭九龙岗。县志载其墓“前有石冠石笏,后有石羊石马”,可惜在“文化
