氢能问题的提出是基于下述一些背景情况:随着国民经济的发展及人口的增长,对能源的需求量不断增加。当前主要能源是化石燃料即煤、石油、天然气。由于直接燃烧化石燃料要放出大量二氧化碳(CO_2),如每燃烧1吨煤要排出3吨以上的 CO_2,大气中 CO_2浓度不断增加,会引起温室效应、气候反常、全球性变暖,进一步引起旱涝灾害频繁,对人类健康、工农业生产、生态平衡都有很大不利影响。
