现代舞蹈是当今发展最快、形式变换最为频繁的艺术,我们今天看到的舞蹈表演,有的即使在几年前都还无法想象。连一向形式凝固的、稳定的芭蕾,在表演风格和外观上也经历巨大的变化。舞蹈的技巧在变,更为重要的是编导、演员和观众也在变,这些变化使过去仅仅被看作娱人眼目、浅薄琐细的舞蹈,成为一种动人的、受人欢迎的艺术,一门在社会影响上完全可与音乐、绘画、戏剧并列的艺术。
