香港是一个经济高度繁荣的地区。香港经济的发展与香港当局重视职业技术人才的培养有密切的关系。香港政府十分重视职业培训在经济发展中的地位和作用,他们把人才的培训作为经济起飞的有力武器。香港有关人士认为,企业人才素质提高,能使企业不断引进和使用新技术,从而使企业的产品不断更新换代,富有竞争力,打入国际市场。一切按社会需求出发,这是香港成人职业教育的基本特点。
Hong Kong is a highly prosperous region. The development of economy in Hong Kong is closely linked with the emphasis placed by Hong Kong authorities on the cultivation of vocational and technical personnel. The Hong Kong Government attaches great importance to the status and role of vocational training in economic development. They regard the training of qualified personnel as a powerful weapon for economic take-off. Hong Kong stakeholders believe that improving the quality of business people, enabling businesses to continue to introduce and use of new technologies, so that the company’s products constantly updated, competitive, into the international market. All according to social needs, which is the basic characteristics of adult vocational education in Hong Kong.
