“中国教育堕落到这种地步,如何得了?所幸误教尚少,假若误教普及了的话,那只有坐以待毙。现在还有百分之八十的‘无教’者,正待我们去普教,故中国前途尚有可为。我们不应当再拿外国教育去教他们,要创造一种中国教育。要用中国药来医治中国病,且要看清病源,然后再去下药。今后新教育的途径是:不要再模仿别人,要自尊自信,自己创造。外国的科学我们要学,外国的教育,自有他们的背景,我们如何能够毫无目的盲目抄袭呢?”
