1997年12月8日,广州海洋地质调查局第二海洋地质调查大队“海洋四号”DY95—7航次全体科考人员在人民大会堂向中国地质博物馆捐赠罕见的富钻结壳标本。标本重70.50千克,长60厘米、宽50厘米、高30厘米,表面呈褐黑色,并且可见珊瑚虫痕迹,整体形状为心形圆。由于从广州到北京的长途搬运,标本上两侧凸出的部位已经磨损,与其他表面部位比较略显平滑。富钴结壳标本是1997年10月29日采集到的。广州海洋地质调查局第二海洋地质调查大队“海洋四

Specimens weighing 70.50 kg, length 60 cm, width 50 cm, height 30 cm, brownish black surface, and visible coral traces, the overall shape of a heart-shaped circle. Due to the long haul from Guangzhou to Beijing, the protruding parts on both sides of the specimen have worn away and are slightly smoother than the other surface parts.
