沧7203黄大豆的母本是徐洲424,父本是黄骅大粒黑,1972年进行杂交,经加代繁殖选育,1976年进入品系鉴定,1978年定名为沧7203黄大豆,1983年经河北省品种审定委员会审定,定名为冀豆三号。沧7203黄大豆1978—1982年参加沧洲地区大豆联合试验。五年共35个试点,有31个试点增产,4个点减产,亩产100.9—495斤,比对照种文丰五号增产10.29—59%。1979—
