缺铁性贫血(IDA)是小儿最常见的一种营养性贫血。婴幼儿的发病率最高。据世界卫生组织的报告,成人男性的发病率为10%,女性20%以上,孕妇为40%,儿童达52%。美国成年女性缺铁性贫血患者有500万。年龄6~36个月婴幼儿发病率为17~44%,5~8岁为5.5%,12~20岁为2.6。我国部分省市1980年普查7岁以下小儿27.052人。以血红蛋白(Hb)低于12g以下者,作为贫血诊断标准,发现多数城市的发病率为25~65%,农村为37~87%,少数地区达90%以上。Hb<9g者在多数省市的发病率为1~6.8%,个别达19%。以3岁以内发病率最高。1980年本省
