国家人力资源和社会保障部农村社会保险司司长游钧日前表示,几千年来中国人“老有所养”的愿望和梦想,从制度上讲,明年就可以得到初步实现。游钧说,中国社会养老保障制度是从建立企业职工养老保险开始的,2009年又开创性地建立了新农保制度并在全国部署试点,现在开始建立城镇居民养老保险制度并进行试点,这样就初步构成了中国养老保障制度的基本框架。

You Jun said that the social security system for the elderly in China started with the establishment of endowment insurance for enterprise employees. In 2009, it pioneered the establishment of a new pension insurance system and piloted the deployment of the national pension insurance system. Now it is time to set up a pilot scheme for urban residents’ pension insurance. It has basically formed the basic framework of China’s pension system.
