在互联网不断发展、人们几乎离不开互联网的今天,正任涌现出另一个具有划时代的新生事物——网格(Grid)。网格的出现与应用,将掀起继传统互联网(Intemet)、万维网(Web)之后的第三次浪潮,以其更强大的功能和超强的计算能力,将为信息产业带来无限商机。据美国克里夫兰咨询公司的调查报告显示,在未来5年内,所有大型金融企业均将引进网格计算基础设施。
As the Internet continues to evolve and people are practically inseparable from the Internet, another epoch-making new thing emerges - Grid. The emergence and application of grid will set off the third wave following the traditional Internet and the Web. With its more powerful functions and superb computing power, it will bring unlimited business opportunities to the information industry. According to a survey conducted by the Cleveland Clinic in the United States, all major financial institutions will introduce a grid computing infrastructure within the next five years.
