2015年1月,85岁的白富元向重庆市大渡口区人民法院申请国家赔偿110余万元。1976年,白富元因投机倒把罪被法院判刑5年。在他服刑期满后,得知自己被法院改判无罪,白富元为了拿到证明自己清白的无罪判决书,历尽艰辛。直到2013年5月,白富元才拿到了那份1987年就已证实他无罪的再审判决书的复印件。
In January 2015, Bai Fuyuan, 85, applied for compensation of over RMB1.1 million from the People’s Court of Dadukou District of Chongqing Municipality. In 1976, Bai Fuyuan was sentenced by the court for five years for speculation. After his term of service expired, he learned that he had been acquitted by the court. Bai Fuyuan went through arduous efforts in order to get a verdict of innocence that proved his innocence. It was not until May 2013 that Bai Fuyuan got a copy of the referendum verdict that proved innocent in 1987.
