渔业是大农业中的重要产业之一,也是菜篮子工程的组成部分。步入市场经济的市郊农村,如何发挥资源优势、劳力优势、科技优势,加快渔业发展,增加有效供给,促进农村致富奔小康,是发展农村经济中值得探索和研究的重要课题。 在重庆市大农业中,渔业是发展最快的产业之一,1993年就提前完成了“八五”末期的计划指标。1995年水产品总产量突破8万吨大关,达到8.78万吨,比上年增产1.1万吨,增长14.5％,1995年的水产品总产量和总产值都比1980年增长8倍,翻了3番。其成绩可以概括为“一稳五多”。
