DNA vaccine is a new type of vaccine that can induce the body to produce a high level of immune response. In recent years, its research is expanding and deepening. Inspired by the fact that DNA vaccines use recombinant plasmid DNA that expresses antigenic proteins as an immunogen, to further optimize DNA vaccines, a new class of DNA vaccine molecule adjuvants has been developed that allow the expression of various immune-related molecules in vivo Plasmid DNA and bacterial-derived CpG DNA with immunostimulatory effects. This paper introduces the modulation effects of various molecular adjuvants on DNA vaccines and their significance in the exploration of vaccine optimization, immunotherapy and the mechanism of DNA vaccines. Some discussions are made on the factors which affect the modulation of DNA vaccines by molecular adjuvants.
