The introduction of the stream-of-consciousness model of modernist literary works in English novels opens up a new chapter in the humanistic literature of the twentieth century and frequently incorporates readers’ appreciation values in different ways in the contemporary era. In the meantime, the stream-of-consciousness fiction test, with the heart alone as the main chain, reaches its peak and ultimate state under the brilliant brushwork of the two representative writers, James Joyce and Virginia Woolf, both of whom are in the state of human existence and spirit The synchronicity in the face of concern also shows obvious differences. This thesis attempts to make a comparative analysis of poetic dimensions such as gender, concept of creation, text structure and narrative perspective from the theoretical frontier of comparative linguistics in order to interpret the effort of stream of consciousness texts to rebuild "life exists tension.
