2004年9月4日至5日,第51届世界淡水钓鱼锦标赛在比利时第二大城市维勒布鲁克举行,共有36个国家报名参赛,中国队是其中之一,5名队员是：上海的郭雄(2003年全国选拔赛第1名)、高云龙(2003年全国选拔赛第6名)；天津的何志强(2003年全国选拔赛第4名)、程希广；哈尔滨的王永耀。顾问汪良来(上海首届家庭钓鱼比赛第一名)。这是中国第二次参加世界淡水钓鱼锦标赛。
From September 4 to September 4, 2004, the 51st World Freshwater Fishing Championships was held in Vilbruber, the second largest city in Belgium.
