In October 1943, in the fifth year of World War II, Michelle Holad, a 45-year-old, short and muscled Frenchman, was preparing to sneak cross the border into Switzerland, a neutral country. He had a bag of potatoes on his shoulder and an ax in his hand, looking exactly like a woodman from the outside. The morning sun penetrates the jungle and Holad moves forward like a cat agile and rapidly. With a little noise, he will find it hard to escape because of the woods and the back of the hill
