“坚持以人民为中心的创作导向”就是在文艺创作过程中要坚持把广大人民群众作为主要表现者、主要服务者和主要评判者。舞蹈作为文艺类别之一,必须在创作过程中坚持以人民为中心。这不仅是社会主义文艺发展的内在要求,也是舞蹈自身创新发展的重要途径。舞蹈创作者要坚持以人民为中心就必须做到接受党的领导、关注人民情感、树立服务人民意识等多个方面的“自觉”。
“Insisting on the people-centered creative orientation” means insisting that the broad masses of the people be the main performers, major service providers, and major judges in the process of literary and artistic creation. As one of the art categories, dance must adhere to the people as the center in the creative process. This is not only an inherent requirement of the development of socialist literature and art, but also an important way for the innovation and development of dance itself. To adhere to the people as the center, dance creators must be “conscious” in many aspects such as accepting the leadership of the party, paying attention to people’s emotions and building a sense of serving the people.
