2002年7月31日下午,香港影星陈宝莲在上海自杀身亡的事件,引起了众多媒体的关注。陈宝莲自1990年17岁时参加亚姐选美后进入娱乐圈,凭《灯草和尚》一“脱”成名,并频频受到三级片商垂青,令她在影坛上被定型,难以翻身。所以,大陆公众对她并不熟悉,甚至她在上海的邻居也只是在她死后才得知她是香港的电影演员。她非常爱自己刚生下20多天的儿子,表示要把自己的经历和心情写出来,出书赚钱养儿子。她的人生似乎有了一个新的开始。可是想不到,她竟会突然结束生命。陈宝莲的死让人遗憾,也令人费解。为此,心理学家刘援朝教授对陈宝莲悲剧做了剖析,相信对我们生者会有一些警醒作用。
