Objective To investigate the role of oxygen free radicals in the pathogenesis of primary acute angle-closure glaucoma. Methods 38 ml patients with primary angle-closure glaucoma were sampled with fasting venous blood (5 ml) and malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) And set up a healthy control group. Results The MDA level of patients with primary acute angle-closure glaucoma was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.01), and the activity of SOD was significantly lower than that of the control group (P <0.01). Conclusions Oxygen free radicals play a potential role in the pathogenesis of primary acute angle-closure glaucoma. It destroys the erythrocyte membrane through lipid peroxidation, decreases the ability to transport oxygen and increases blood viscosity, resulting in microcirculation disorders, ciliary disease Body congestion, ischemia, edema, the location of advancement, thus accelerating the angle closure of intraocular pressure.
