In order to monitor the frequency of Bt cotton resistance in the cotton bollworm population in Xinjiang, researchers from Institute of Plant Protection of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2010 and 2011 collected single female lines of H. armigera from Shihezi and Kashi Prefecture, respectively.
