总投资8.5亿元的焦作至晋城高速公路焦作段,全长17.036公里,由于该工程穿山掠谷,工程沿线山势陡峻,峰峦叠障,地形恶劣,地质复杂变化无常。因此,这个工程除了桥隧相连外,深挖高填路段多,防护工程量大,其主要工程有大中桥24座,隧道12座(其中一座为联拱隧道),土石方391万方,采空区治理2.75公里,涵洞通道53道,浆砌片石排水、防护工程11.6万方,科技含量之高和施工难度之大在河南省高速公路建设史上绝无仅有,在我国也属罕见。
