2004年,SARS 被有效遏制后,时任中国疾病预防控制中心主任的李立明辞去主任一职,重归象牙塔做学问。从此,这位公共卫生管理专家远离传媒,刻意淡出了公众的视野。在眼下全球紧绷神经防控高致病性禽流感向人传播的关键时期,现任中国医学科学院、中国协和医科大学副院校长的李立明教授破例接受了《中国卫生》记者丁珠林的专访。
After SARS was effectively checked in 2004, Li Liming, then director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, resigned as director and returned to study as an ivory tower.
