现代化铸造车间都在熔化和造型工序之间设置保温炉,用以改善铸件质量,提高熔化率和生产率。目前,国外铸造车间中采用最普遍的保温炉型式是如图1所示的沟槽式感应保温炉。也有采用如图2所示的坩埚式感应保温炉,但用得很少。前者的优点是电效率和热效率都很高,炉膛气密性好,金属的氧化烧损小,炉膛形状可以根据需要随意选定。
Modern foundries have established holding furnaces between the melting and forming processes to improve the quality of the castings and to increase the melting rate and productivity. At present, the most popular type of holding furnace used in the foundry abroad is the groove induction holding furnace as shown in FIG. 1. There are also used as shown in Figure 2 crucible induction holding furnace, but used very little. The former has the advantages of high electrical efficiency and thermal efficiency, good furnace gas tightness, small metal oxide burning, furnace shape can be arbitrarily selected according to need.
