鲁迅先生在其1927年所写《再谈香港》一文中说,“我经过我所视为‘畏塗’的香港,算起来,九月二十八日是第三回”。这次是他辞掉广州中山大学的教职,决计同许广平一道,途经香港,前往上海定居的。此次在港,泊舟两日。前两次,据其日记,也是在该年。第一次,是由厦门赴中山大学任职的途中,1月17日抵港,18日晨离港;第二次,是应香港某团体之邀,由叶少泉、苏秋宝、许广平等陪同前往香港青年会演讲的。2月18日赴港,20日返回,在那里他作了两次演讲:《无声的中国》、《老调子已经唱完》。此后,再没有去过香港。
