奥斯汀全名为William F.Austin,William正是取自其曾祖父的名字。专访时,奥斯汀对我讲了一个关于其家族的故事。当奥斯汀还是婴儿时,他的曾祖父便去世了。在祖父祖母讲述中,他的曾祖父满头银发,身形伟岸,是个善良而崇高的老人。奥斯汀的曾祖父5岁时,流匪进入村庄,烧毁农场跟房屋,更屠杀了他的家人。那时,奥斯汀家族刚刚来到美国西部。奥斯汀的曾祖父躲进了灌木丛里,侥幸逃脱,但他成了孤儿。
Austin full name William F. Austin, William is derived from the name of his great-grandfather. During an interview, Austin told me a story about her family. When Austin was still a baby, his great-grandfather died. In the account of his grandparents, his great-grandfather was silver-haired and stalwart, a kind and noble old man. When Austin’s great-grandfather was 5 years old, the bandits entered the village, burning farms and houses, and slaughtering his family.
