丹阳市位于江苏省南部。1987年经国务院批准撤县建市,被列为沿海对外开放城市,是全国首批80个小康县(市)之一,经济基本竞争力位居全国百强县(市)第24位,江苏省第8位,先后被评为“全国卫生城市”、“全国环境综合整治优秀城市”、“江苏省文明城市”、“江苏省社会治安安全市”;在全国首创民主评议党员、党务公开、十星级文明户评选等活动;科技、教育、文化、体育、绿化等多项工作被评为全国先进市。近日,记者针对新农村建设、经济发展、城市基础建设等问题,专访了中共丹阳市委书记李茂川。
