英籍华裔戏剧家周采芹女士是我国已故著名京剧表演艺术家周信芳的女儿。去年九月至今年一月,应中央戏剧学院邀请来京讲学,并为该院学生导演莎士比亚的《暴风雨》一剧。周采芹女士一九五六年毕业于英国皇家戏剧学院,一九五九年因扮演《苏西·王的世界》中苏西·王而一举成名。一九五九——一九六一年在已故名声乐家艾里斯·沃伦女士处受业。以后,她在英、美各地从事戏剧、电影、电视、教学、演唱等艺术活动。一九八一年在美国马萨诸塞州脱夫茨大学获戏剧文学硕士学位。
Chinese-American dramatist Ms. Zhou Caiqin is the daughter of the late Beijing opera performance artist Zhou Xinfang. From September last year to January this year, the Central Academy of Drama invited Beijing to give lectures and directed Shakespeare’s “Tempest” drama for the students. Mrs Chou Tsai-Ching graduated from the Royal Academy of Drama in 1956 and became famous in 1959 for the role of Queen Susi Wong in “The World of the Soviet-Western King.” 1959 - In 1961 at the late honorary musician Ms. Erice Warren.
