I. Historical Overview The calcination method, like other methods of processing, has a long history. In the ancient Chinese herbal books, there are many records; “Taiping Huimin and the agent bureau” on the “cold water stone fired vinegar quenched seven times.” In the Ming Dynasty, Li Shizhen’s “Compendium of Materia Medica” was to “reduce vermiculite and quench the vinegar three or seven times.” “The Essentials of Commodity Collection” also pointed out that "Meteorite Rocks are broken up every two or two times.
