扬州个园,中国古典名园之一。其名日隆,游者日众。有感于对诸多书刊介绍文章之不明白处甚夥,遂不辞琐屑,爬梳剔抉,追本求源,冀有裨益于万一也。从个园的“个”字说起陪客人游个园,常有人问“当时有简化字吗?”确实也有些书家惟恐被人讥讽为繁简混杂,特地把“个园”的“个”写成“個”或“箇”。“个”字《说文解字》虽未收,但其字由来已久,根据《康熙字典》,“个”是多义项,如作“枚”解,《仪礼·大射仪》“司射入于次,搢三个,挟一个”;作“一人”
