聚合草又名紫草根、肥羊草、友谊草(吉林)、爱国草(朝鲜)等,是紫草科聚合草属植物。原产苏联欧洲部分及高加索,十八世纪末至十九世纪初,作为观赏和药用植物传入英国、美国、澳大利亚、日本等地,其后培育成为牧草而广泛传布。由于毛主席革命外交路线的胜利,我国与友好国家文化交流不断发展,聚合草开始传入我国。最初一批是1963年澳中友协主席桑迪(Sandy)先生访华时带来一些根,赠送北京植物园。以后,1964—1975年间,朝鲜、日本及澳大利亚又相继送给我国农业科学院工作者代表
Aggregated grass, also known as comfrey root, Sheep Leech, Friendship grass (Jilin), Patriotic grass (North Korea), is a comfrey genus grass plants. The origin of the European part of the Soviet Union and the Caucasus, the late eighteenth Century to the early nineteenth Century, as ornamental and medicinal plants introduced to the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Japan and other places, and later fostered and spread widely.
