“New literati painting ” is the beginning of the 80s of last century, the peak activity in the 90s. It used to be an art banner, and a group of like-minded artists used it as the focal point for the first ten times of exhibitions. Despite the many changes in the exhibition staff, the good and the bad are inevitable. However, it has been repeatedly valued by theorists and cultural circles and has been commercially used Also great success. Most of the artists in the New Scholar’s Art Exhibition came from the Nanjing Art Institute and have become the masters of today’s Chinese painting world. The masters who can be defined as this era in the future are unknown. Today, it seems that “New Literati Painting” is a sub-art transition that is closely related to the current pattern of Chinese painting. It can be tied with the “Star Art Exhibition” and the “New Trend in 1985” and can not be circumvented by modern art history writing Art phenomenon.
