由澳门基金会、澳门大学、澳门电脑及系统工程研究所、澳门生产力暨科技转移中心、澳门科学技术协进会和中国科协、广东省科委、清华大学科技发展中心、华南理工大学等单位联合主办的“澳门’98科技周”于1998年12月1-5日在澳门举行。澳门大学马许愿副校长、葡萄牙科技部 JOSE MARIANO GAGO 部长、中国教育部韦钰副部长以及澳门总督韦奇立将军分别在开幕式上致词。

Vice Mayor Ma of Macau University, Minister JOSE MARIANO GAGO of Portugal's Ministry of Science and Technology, Vice Minister Wei Yu of the Chinese Ministry of Education and General Victoire of Macau Governor made speeches respectively at the opening ceremony.
