一 如果我们真实地面对戏剧在现代文化生活中困难的现实,那么我们应该认为十九届戏剧会演在目前的情况下,取得了这样的成绩,是很不容易的。这里边凝聚了许多戏剧艺术团体和戏剧工作者的心血和努力。而且部份优秀剧目为《大河谣》《董生与李氏》等,也依然保持了以前汇演的艺术高度。就剧目的数量说,除了参演的十台戏,也还有四个剧本入选而因剧团等原因未能上演。就题材、主题、写法等说,也显得比以前的汇演多样化,没有趋集出单一的色调。但是从艺术自身及其发展的角度说,本届会演整体上给人的感觉是剧目从数量到艺术水准,都比以前平弱。它大致也真实地勾勒出近二、三年来戏剧创作的不振和表演水准的低落。
