油菜开花是从主轴开始的,故主轴开花最早,优先得到养料,角果长,子粒大,千粒重高,是全株最好的种子。它发芽出苗整齐,所生的苗生长一致,植株健壮,抗逆性强,故可增产,而且早熟。据试验,主轴选留的健壮种子比混合选留的一般种子,成熟期提早二三天,单产增加6.5％～11.3％。
