笔者通过对多届初中毕业班学生进行成绩跟踪,发现:在毕业班英语成绩优秀者,在七年级也同样优秀,后起之秀凤毛麟角;反之,在毕业班英语成绩不好的,基本上都是因为在起始阶段没有打下坚实的基础。此外,对部分后进生进行调查,也发现:许多学生由于学不好英语,导致对其它科目也丧失了兴趣,甚至对学校生活也产生了厌倦及排斥心理,最终成为学困生或辍学生。这些现象说明:七年级的英语入门学习对学生的后继学习起着决定性作用。因此,学校
