INTRODUCTION With the completion of the industrial revolution, democratization and urbanization, the Victorian era has become a very brilliant and prosperous period in British history. Under the rule of Queen Victoria, all aspects of development have peaked. However, the status of women remains unimproved. Some Darwinist critics argue that the social decline of women is a natural consequence of social development. They think that women should be unreasonable and ignorant; women should be men’s accessories; they should not be given the opportunity to learn math, science, nor should they participate in any society
