ChinaNet将扩展到30个省市自治区 邮电部所属中讯通信发展有限公司将同美国AsiaInfo公司联合建设贯通全国30个省、市、自治区的Internet骨干网ChinaNet,以保证在1996年6月份之前使全国所有地区都有可能进入Internet。目前全国只有上海和北京进入了Internet骨干网。据监控亚太地区Internet地址分配的亚太网络信息中心透露,目前中国(含香港)保留了比亚太地区其他国家和地区更多的Internet协议地址空间,地址数量比日本目前使用的数量多50%。
