9月26日,十五届六中全会审议并通过了《中共中央关于加强和改进党的作风建设的决定》,提出,执政党的党风,关系党的形象,关系人心向背,关系党和国家的生死存亡。加强和改进党的作风建设,必须把思想作风建设摆在第一位。人类已经进入新世纪,世界在变化,我国改革和建设在推进,人民群众的伟大实践在发展。中国共产党作为一个拥有六千万党员、八十年光辉历史和五十余年执政经历,并且领导世界上最大的发展中国家走向现代化的执政党,只有坚持解放思想、实事求是的思想路线和思想作风,才能顺应时代进步潮流、永葆先进性。为帮助广大读者正确认识这一重要问题,我刊特约请刘云山同志撰写了这篇文章。
