我认识闻一多先生是在1940年8月。那时我与几位艺术师范的学友在昆明创办《诗与散文》文艺刊物。第一期出版后,我们邀请了十几位文艺界的知名人士,开了一次茶会,请他们给予指导和帮助。出席茶会的闻一多先生在我们请求下.为《诗与散文》题书了署名刊头。从第二期起我们改进了刊物封面设计,启用了闻先生书写的刊头。不料竟引起了一些关心刊物的作者的异议。他们认为“闻先生是新月派诗
I know Mr. Wen Yiduo was in August 1940. At that time, I founded a literary and art publication of ”Poetry and Prose“ in Kunming with several art fanciers. After the first issue, we invited a dozen celebrities from the literary and art circles to open a tea party and asked them to give guidance and help. At the invitation of our tea party, Mr. Wen Yiduo attended the tea ceremony and published the official commentary for the title of ”Poetry and Prose.“ From the second issue we improved the cover design of the publication and enabled the publication of the first print by Mr. Wen. Unexpectedly, it has aroused some dissent from the authors who care about the publication. They think ”Mr. Wen is a crescent to send poetry
