In July last year, a 27-year-old weightlifter in Pennsylvania, United States, was admitted for examination due to weight loss and general weakness. After diagnosis, the physically fit athlete actually got liver cancer. He took four consecutive steroids, which is the root cause of his terminal illness. Three months later, he died at a hospital because he was ineffective and became the first American athlete to die of cancer due to chronic steroid use. Taking the same alcohol can treat certain diseases and increase muscle strength. But the abuse of steroids is harmful to the human body, so the Olympic Committee and other major sports organizations in the world are prohibited athletes taking steroids. At the Pan American Games in 1983, eight weightlifters were disqualified for being found guilty of taking the same type of alcohol. For this reason, Michelle, a Chicago-based American athlete, was confiscated for three gold medals. In spite of this, many athletes, especially young people under the age of 20, are taking illegally in large quantities in order to increase muscle strength
