Among the dynamic evolutionary mechanism of literary influenes, selection, comprehension and transformation are the three essential elements of the receptivefunction in the receptor’s system. Correspondently, inherence, value and efect arethe three levels of source text. The aesthetic prescriptiveness and openness of sourcetext are explored through the dynamic openness of the correlative mechanisms betweenthe receptor and the source text. The text in itself, the text of value, and the text ofeffect are not three distinct source texts, but three different levels of the same text.Only by corresponding to the three reception elements, can such a division bemeaningful to the influence study in comparatve literature in terms of theprescriptiveness for actual meanings.
