盐酸二氢埃托啡是阿片受体的强效激动剂,为一种高效麻醉性镇痛剂,其镇痛活性约为吗啡的6000～10000倍,为埃托啡的4倍。其呼吸抑制等不良反应较吗啡小,身体依赖性潜力低于吗啡、度冷丁。本品对解除外科、五官科、妇科术后疼痛,特别对晚期癌痛和外伤的剧痛效果显著,包括使用吗啡或度冷丁无效者。临床广泛用于内、外、妇、肿瘤和麻醉等各科。
