1947年3月16日,中共中央令中共中央军委副主席、总参谋长彭德怀统辖陕甘宁解放区的野战部队和地方武装,反击胡宗南国民党武装集团向延安发动的武装进攻。同时该野战部队组建成西北野战兵团,辖第一纵、第二纵,教导旅和新编第四旅,共计2.6万人。3月19日,西北野战集团掩护党中央及延安群众撤出延安。次日,全军集中在延安北部的安塞县待机。
On March 16, 1947, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China ordered the vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and chief of General Staff Peng Dehuai to control the field units and local armed forces in the liberated areas of the Shensi-Kansu-Iin Province and to counter the armed attack by the Kuomintang armed group of Hu Zongnan on Yan’an. At the same time, the field force formed a Northwest Field Corps, administer the first vertical, second vertical, teaching brigades and the new fourth brigade, a total of 26000 people. On March 19, the Northwest Field Group sheltered the party Central Committee and Yan’an people from withdrawing from Yanan. The next day, the entire army was concentrated in Ansai County, north of Yan’an.
