喀纳斯的名气越来越大,喀纳斯旅游热挡都挡不住。喀纳斯国家自然保护区以其清纯脱俗的气质、神秘靓丽的容颜傲立于中国风景名胜之林。过去,十一国庆节一过,喀纳斯就封山了,一切旅游部门都关门大吉了。如今,喀纳斯7个月的漫长冬季,再也挡不住旅行者的脚步。马拉爬犁成为冒险者刺激而又快捷的雪上吉普车。马拉爬犁是木制的,是新疆蒙古族、哈萨克族等民族冬天里的交通工具,少说也有上千年的历史了。爬犁的底座是两根主橼,长约两米,中间铺以整齐的短木板,形成一张单人床的样子,床上铺一块花毡或者花毯,或坐或躺都很舒适。爬犁前部,是由两根弯形长杆和马肚带、马鞍子相连组成的驾辕。驾辕系于马身,马儿会撒腿跑起来。在喀纳斯南边的布尔津县、哈巴河县,都能租到这样的马爬犁。
