在甘肃东南部,尤其是天水市有这样一种习俗,每年腊月(农历十二月)初八这一天,清晨早起,各家青年男女都要去河边、泉头、山间小溪等结冰的地方,将那些带有各种图案、花纹的大冰块打成小块,背回家中,放置在供桌、钱柜、粮囤等各种盛物器具下面,有的还要放到寺庙、田地里。当地人把这种活动叫做“打冰马”。这项活动源于何处,从什么时候开始,无确切史料记载。
