◆香港电信与CA宣布成立合资公司,将在亚太区发展以宽频网络为传输骨干,并以万维网为基础(Web-Based)的ASP(应用服务供应商),服务对象是中小型企业。合营公司初期的投资额为800万美元。CA主席兼行政总裁王嘉廉指出,合营公司今年先发展香港市场,明年会在祖国大陆发展,2002年则会发展亚太区其他国家的市场。合营公司预计一至两个月后,便开始正式运作。合资公司将会在短期内,推出一套会计应用系统软件(ACCPAC),以及名为HK Manufacturing的制造资源规划软件,供客户透过互联网,接连到公司的伺服器,使用该两套软件。
◆ Hong Kong Telecom and CA announced the formation of a joint venture to develop an ASP (Application Service Provider) based in the Asia Pacific region with a broadband network as the backbone and a web-based service for small and medium-sized enterprises. The joint venture initial investment of 800 million. Wang Jia Lian, chairman and chief executive of CA, pointed out that the JV Company will develop its market in Hong Kong this year and will start to develop in the motherland next year. In 2002, it will develop other markets in the Asia Pacific region. The joint venture expects to begin its formal operation in one to two months. The joint venture will shortly launch ACCPAC, a manufacturing resource planning software called HK Manufacturing, for customers to connect to the company’s servers and use the two sets of software over the Internet.
