我国的诗歌散文,无不以现实主义精神著称,浪漫主义精神为又为其艺术风格大放异彩,但蔡琰的《悲愤诗》却是因为思想内容深刻,而大大的升华了艺术价值。蔡琰《悲愤诗》的真情实感极其强,非亲身经历是无法写得如此真切的。近代学者吴闿生曾说:“吾以谓(悲愤诗)决非伪者,因其为文姬肺腑中言,非他人所能代也。”(《古今诗范》)沈德潜说《悲愤诗》的成功“由情真,亦由情深也。”(《古诗源》卷三)可见《悲愤诗》的真实感是有目共睹的,这也就是其“以诗证史”的重要意义。
