To date, investigations of preferred learning styles among English speakers have been extensive and contain cognitive and psychological aspects. However, little had been known about the learning styles of English learners until Reid did his research. This part aims to achieve two tasks: the introduction to the perceptual learning style theory and presentation of Reid’s Perceptual Learning Style Preference Survey (PLSPS), the tool employed in my research on the differences between the learning styles of liberal arts students and those of science students.
