为期三天的第四届全国中学生运动会(田径比赛)于1989年8月20日在河北省唐山市第一中学落下帷幕。这次由国家教委、国家体委、共青团中央联合举办的运动动会共设4个组别、30个比赛项目,28个省市自治区代表队(甲组)和10所“培养体育后备人才试点校”代表队(乙组)的626名初中学生运动员参加了比赛。国家教委副主任何东昌出席了本届运动会的开幕式,并致开幕词。为落实本届赛会“坚持改革,勤俭节约,遵循教育规律,体现中学生特点”的指导思
The three-day Fourth National Students Games (Track and Field Competition) came to an end on August 20, 1989 in No.1 Middle School of Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The sports meeting jointly organized by the State Education Commission, the State Sports Commission and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League consists of 4 groups, 30 competitions, 28 provincial and municipal autonomous regions (Group A) and 10 “Pilot Training Physical Education Reserve Talents 626 junior high school athletes representing the team (Group B) participated in the competition. He Dongchang, deputy director of the State Education Commission attended the opening ceremony of this Games and delivered an opening speech.
