The Domestic Violence Reduction Project (DVRU) is a collaborative project between the U.S. Justice Institute and the police. During the execution of the project, it was found that its implementation value was generally recognized by the public and considered that the police could intervene in domestic violence, but the public feared that the project would not continue to exist. Within the police, as police policing provided public access to police power, the traditional police authority was challenged. The police did not adapt to such changes and still did their best at making decisions. As a result, the implementation of the DVRU project failed to fully comply with the original plan Program.
